wastage of money should be avoided by reality show producers
I could not understand the way money is wasted with first page coverage of the commencement of Kaun Banega Crorepathi. If Amitabh Bachchan is having so much charisma in small screen then there is no need of such big advertisement and spending lot of money for a TV show. The same amount of money spent on full pages advertisement can be used for a noble cause like rehabilitation of the destitute, physically handicapped persons and of course Senior Citizens. Amitabh as a senior citizen must have given the hint to make use of the money for a noble cause and not just waste it for a day's advertisement in news dailies. The just commenced KBC episode in SONY TV channel may attracted many with high TRP among all the TV shows. The anchor Amitabh Bachchan did make it more lively with his initial introduction and the way he conducts the show with a difference is worth watching. It is indeed worth watching Kaun Banega Crorepathi in Sony Entertainment Television from Friday to Sunday at 8.30 pm. Amitabh is doing the job of the anchor in an imitable way. The opening of the programme with Amitabh Bachan at his best is a treat to watch. But I wonder how the major sponsors Cadbury, Idea, Akash, Axis Bank, CEAT, Maruti Suzuki and LAVA spending so much on a reality show by increasing the jackpot prize money to Rs.7 crore never thought about making use of the major portion of amount for a noble cause. And as per guidelines of Reserve Bank of India, Bank cheque leaves should not wasted in any manner. Whereas Amitabh Bachchan regularly issue cheques and then waste that leave before issuing another cheque for the winner. Such wastage should go to the benefit to the poor and downtrodden people in our country. Whether Amitabh and Sony TV producers pay heed to this fact.
